Antur Teifi is an independent company which inspires and develops projects and businesses which have the potential to create prosperity and success in the local economy.
The roots of the company are firmly in the Teifi Valley area and the company was originally established in 1979 in order to assist the development of the economy in that area. By now, the name is well known throughout West Wales and beyond, and is associated with the delivery of a high level of innovative activities.
Antur Teifi delivers projects and commercial services for individuals, community groups, social enterprises and small and large companies:
- TRAC: Business training and human resource development.
- Telem@: Information and communication technology solutions and services.
- Business Services: Delivering bespoke business services, advice and support.
- Project Services: Solutions and services for the development, management and evaluation of projects.
- Community Enterprises: Innovative community development for rural areas.
- Rural Business Support: Development of rural businesses and their related sectors.
- Central Services: Support for the development of the company's central systems, and delivery of a high standard of services.
Antur Teifi is a social enterprise which is owned by shareholders in the community. They do not profit individually from this investment but have agreed that any surpluses should be re-invested in the company to promote prosperity in the area and to maintain the high standard of services we offer for the benefit of the community.
Most of the company's income is generated by the commercial activities of the company. Any surplus that derives from these activities is used to draw down funding from the Welsh Assembly Government, Europe, Local Authorities or other UK sources in order to implement innovative projects. Many of these projects are delivered in partnership with organisations and communities in the area. The business advice service also supports the development of quality, innovative businesses, which have the ability to strengthen the local economy.
