Antur Teifi is a social enterprise owned by shareholders in the community. The shareholders do not profit individually from their investment but have agreed that any surpluses generated should be re-invested in the company to promote prosperity in the area and to maintain the high standard of services we offer for the benefit of the community. Anyone over 16 years who supports the objectives of Antur Teifi and resides in or has resided or worked in the Teifi Valley or its neighbourhood can become a shareholder. A member on payment of £1 is entitled to one share only within the organisation.
The board members are made up from the shareholders but also include one councillor member from Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire County Councils, one observer on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government and the Managing Director of the company.
Board members including the Chair and Vice Chair are elected annually at the AGM. The Treasurer and Company Secretary are elected in the board meeting that follows the AGM.
Board members bring the following expertise to the organisation:- marketing, PR, finance, commercial & public sector expertise, projects & community development, HR, HSE, procedures and audit.
The management team consists of the organisation's managers and is chaired by the Managing Director. The management team is responsible for the development of the business plan and all aspects of delivery to achieve the organisation's strategic objectives and its mission statement.
