Community Newspaper Network
Antur Teifi's Community Newspapers Network has worked with 49 Welsh-language community newspapers nationwide by setting up a website to distribute content, share good practice and increase co-operation between the newspapers.
We are also running the Young Writers Scheme in conjunction with BBC Cymru'r Byd, which gives young people the opportunity to earn £30 for writing an article or review for their local community newspaper. If suitable, the work will also appear on the BBC Cymru'r Byd website. The Network has encouraged young people to write articles and reviews, which has boosted contirbutions and fostered young people's skills.
As the project comes to an end, the Network will provide a Handbook to all the newspapers containing advice and good practices to follow, and giving a taste of the wealth of material produced thanks to the Young Writers Project.
