Milltir Sgwâr - here to help communities in rural Carmarthenshire
The Rural Community Action programme (Milltir Sgwâr) aims to help communities develop their capacity and skills. We work to help local people develop their ideas in order to improve and maintain a strong and vibrant community.
We can provide small amounts of revenue funding (up to £1,000) to assist communities "kick start" projects which have the capability of making a real difference to community life.
Are you a community group that needs a helping hand?
The RCA programme in Ceredigion (Cynnal Ceredigion) supports community or voluntary groups, social enterprises and cultural events in many varied ways.
We can provide up to £2,000 revenue funding, through our Seed Corn Fund, for community-led activities based in Ceredigion. We support the Social Enterprise Network in Ceredigion to help foster closer links, provide advice and information.
With CAVO, we have developed a Ceredigion Funders' Network to help groups find the best funding available.
We provide training for volunteer organisers: from programme/poster design to events organising and community security certificate.
