Participants on this programme will receive:
Free advice from an experienced Business Advisor.
A tailored package of pre start support is available to help individuals to create sustainable businesses with the capacity to grow and survive. Ensuring that the type and level of support is appropriate is vital to the development of a business proposition. This is determined by an evaluation of the business idea and establishing the commitment of the individuals in terms of time, transferable experience and personal investment.
We work out of offices in Cardigan & Lampeter. Clients are seen face to face either at their own premises or an appointment can be made to see an adviser at one of the offices located in South Ceredigion.
A structured modular training course covers the basics of setting up a business, assessing the market place and competition, developing a marketing strategy, managing the operation, costing & pricing and financial planning & administration.

Are you currently unemployed but would like the opportunity to set up and run your own business?
Then look no further - as part of the New Deal Self Employment scheme we are able to offer the following support.
We will work with you for up to 8 weeks during which time we will undertake vital market research, help you to source finance and draft a business plan.
Following this initial business planning support period, you will be given the opportunity to "test trade" for a period of 6 months whilst being mentored by and working closely with your business adviser.
During this initial period of establishing your business you will still be able to receive your unemployment benefits & allowances.
Antur Teifi is delivering this project throughout the whole of Ceredigion/Carmarthenshire on behalf of Jobcentre Plus.
