In November 2013 Antur Teifi became the official delivery partner for Start Up Loans across Powys, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. To date 40 new businesses have been successful across the region in securing a loan that has helped towards making their businesses a success.
One of the companies that has done exactly this, is Ickle Bubba. The birth of Ickle Bubba as a company coincided with the birth of Fran and Veronica Vaughan’s first child in 2011. Shopping for that all-important pram led to a life changing experience for the couple – even before the baby had arrived!
“When we started looking for a pram we were shocked to find how expensive they were” said Fran. The couple decided to design a pram themselves, one which was comparable to the leading brands but at half the price. With the help of the loan from the UK Government’s Start Up Loan Scheme, the Stomp Complete Travel System was created.
Said Fran, “Richard Jones, our Business Adviser was a great help during the application process. His input was instrumental in the securing of the loan”. The business has undoubtedly proved to be another welcome addition to Fran and Veronica’s family!
