This is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of the Brechfa Forest Wind Farm Community Fund. The post holder will be the main ambassador for the fund locally and will ensure that the local community has consistent and accessible local support to guide them through the grant application process. Applicants will need to demonstrate a good standard of education and a proven track record of managing a community fund, or experience of grant funding mechanisms. Ideally the successful candidate will be bilingual but this is not essential.

International Trade Adviser, Business Wales, Salary from £32,000 per annum

As part of a partnership Business in Focus (BIF), Antur Teifi (AT) and Serco form Growth Partnership Wales (GPW). From January 2016, for a period of five years, GPW will deliver the Business Wales Service, a business support service delivered across the whole of Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government. This service is led by the National Manager who is supported to manage delivery pan Wales by three Regional Managers (North, Mid & West and South).

The Business Wales service delivery model segments support into four levels, Self-employed, Micro Businesses and two levels of Growth. Growth (Level 3) clients will be allocated a Business Adviser (Growth). In many circumstances a business will be needing specialist support. The Business Wales service has the following specialists; Equality & Diversity, Resource Efficiency, International Trade, Tendering, and ICT.

Specialist Advisers have prime responsibility for the Business Wales Service’s relationship with a portfolio of around (to be confirmed) businesses in Wales; including those with growth potential. They provide specialist advice with a particular area of focus and tailored for individual business needs.

Job Summary:

International Trade Advisers help SMEs to understand and apply processes to enable them to move products/equipment/materials out of the country in accordance with relevant local, UK, and International laws and protocols, enabling the business to remain viable and/or grow.

Specialist Advisers work with clients who are new and established businesses on a 1-2-1 basis. The Specialist Adviser uses their significant experience and knowledge to undertake an in-depth discussion and develop an action plan to identify key issues and priorities.

The Specialist Advisor works on one specific action item with the client. In addition, the Specialist Adviser utilises their knowledge of 3rd parties, in public and private sector, who may also be able to provide support and solutions to the client.

Support from other generalist Business Advisers, Specialists are available in the Business Wales service, such as Superfast Broadband Optimisation, which is integrated with the package of support in order to maximise the growth of the business.

Business Adviser (Growth), Business Wales, Salary from £34,500 per annum

This service is led by the National Contract Manager who is supported to manage delivery pan Wales by three Regional Managers (North, Mid & West and South).The Business Wales service delivery model segments support into four levels, Self-employed, Micro Businesses and two levels of Growth. Growth (Level 3) clients will be allocated a Business Adviser (Growth).

Business Advisers (Growth) have prime responsibility for the Business Wales Service’s relationship with a team portfolio of around 1000 key businesses in Wales per annum; including those with growth potential. They provide business advice for a particular area of focus and tailored for individual business needs.

Job Summary:

Business Advisers (Growth) work with clients who are new and established businesses on a 1-2-1 basis. The Business Adviser (Growth) uses their significant experience and knowledge of business to undertake a specific Growth Diagnostic and develop an action plan to identify key issues and priorities.

The Business Advisor (Growth) works on one specific action item as an agreed Project with the client. In addition, the Business Adviser (Growth) will utilise their knowledge of 3rd parties, in public and private sector, who may also be able to provide support and solutions to the client.

Support from other specialist strands available in the Business Wales service, such as International Trade and Superfast Broadband Optimisation, is integrated with the package of support in order to maximise the growth of the business.

Enterprise Zones/Special Projects Officer, Business Wales, Salary from £21,000 per annum

The Enterprise Zones/Special Projects Officer provides a full brokerage service to clients in support of the delivery of the Business Wales service for Enterprise Zones and other projects across Wales.

Core Business Adviser, Business Wales, Salary from £28,000 per annum

From January 2016, for a period of five years, GPW will deliver the Business Wales Service, a business support service delivered across the whole of Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government. This service is led by the National Manager who is supported to manage delivery pan Wales by three Regional Managers (North, Mid & West and South).The Business Wales service delivery model segments support into four levels, Self-employed, Micro Businesses and two levels of Growth. Self-employed clients will be able to access telephone and on-line support as will Micro Business clients, with the latter also being allocated to a Business Adviser (Core Service).

Business Advisers (Core Service) have shared responsibility for the Business Wales Service’s relationship with a team portfolio of around 12,500 businesses in Wales per annum. They provide a broad range of business information and advice to start-up and existing businesses.

Job Summary:

Business Advisers (Core Service) work with clients who are new and established businesses by providing advice on the telephone, on-line, via email. Micro businesses can also receive a limited period of support on a 1-2-1 basis. The Business Adviser (Core Service) uses their experience and knowledge of business to identify key issues and priorities with the client.

The Business Advisor (Core Service) works with the client to support them with an agreed issue within timescales permitted. In addition, the Business Adviser (Core Service) utilises their knowledge of 3rd parties, in public and private sector, who may also be able to provide support and solutions to the client.

Support from other specialist strands available in the Business Wales service, such as International Trade and Superfast Broadband Optimisation, is integrated with the package of support in order to maximise the growth potential of the business.

Client Relationship Officer, Business Wales, Salary from £21,000 per annum

Support regional delivery of the Business Wales service. To process enquiries into the segmented service model, providing information, signposting and referring to internal and external stakeholders. Advisory Team Manager, Business Wales, Salary from £33,000 per annum

This service is led by the National Manager who is supported to manage delivery pan Wales by three Regional Managers (North, Mid & West and South).The Business Wales service delivery model segments support into four levels, Self-employed, Micro Businesses and two levels of Growth. Clients will be able to access advice through telephone, on-line and face-to-face support through a team of Business Relationship Managers and Business Advisers. A broad range of business information and advice is provided to start-up and existing businesses.

Job Summary:

The Advisory Team Manager is responsible for managing the advisory team to achieve performance against regional objectives and advisory service targets set across the segmented model of support. Manage effective referral relationship with the Superfast Broadband Exploitation Programme, supporting its integration to the service.

The role also requires supporting the Regional Manager develop an effective regional network to enable the delivery of business support tailored to the growth potential of start-up and established businesses, in accordance with contractual compliance and audit requirements.
